SWR Fall Trail Ride At Loretta Lynn’s

SWR OFF-ROAD TRAIL RIDES 2016

One day I’m getting a dirt bike again to go on one of these rides but until then I’ll help spread the word.

Southern Woods Rider invites you to attend the 18th Anniversary of the Fall Trail Ride at Loretta Lynn’s Ranch. At last years event there were over 900 Dirt Bike and ATV riders from around the nation in attendance over the three-day event. This year could exceed 1100 riders! To cover all levels of riding skills SWR prepares a small beginners loop near the campground area, a 3 to 5-mile novice loop and a 15 to 20-mile main loop. In addition we have a Friday Night Poker Run and a Saturday night banquet. The banquet is a big hit so we have limit the attendance to 400 meal tickets. During the banquet we give out special awards and acknowledgments to the event volunteers, touch on any important off-road news and giveaway many great door prizes.

SWR continues the strong tradition of the fall ride in the education of participants on safety and trail etiquette while continuing to bring riders of all ages exhilarating riding opportunities. All ATV and Dirt Bike riding responsible individuals and families are welcome to attend.

Riders Fees – Pre-Registration or Pay At the Event

NOTE: Pre-Registration Ends Oct. 1, 2016

Scavenger Ride Event at Sloan’s on August 6th

Sloan's Scavenger RideThought I’d share this event happening at Sloan’s next month.

This ride is themed “American Heroes”,  so all of the point-earning sites will be related in some way to the military, or first responders. You might need to visit a Civil War monument, or a military recruiting station, or some other historical site connected to our “American Heroes”.

Scavenger Rides (S/R’s) usually take several hours, a full day, or can be multi-day rides of thousands of miles, but with the help of one of our favorite local L/D riders, Lynne Carey, has charted an moderately challenging 6-hour ride to introduce you to the fun of a Scavenger Ride!
